Auch wenn es vielen verfriiht oder gar verfehlt erscheinen mag, schon jetzt von einem beginnenden Wandel, einer - Freilich noch sehr zaghaf- ten - Wiedererlangung der geistigen Basis zu sprechen, von einer langsamen Wiederbelebung der Grundwerte und Neuentdeckung morali- scher N ormen, so sind doch in aller Welt erste Zeichen vorhanden, daB einst verponte Tugenden wieder an Wert gewinnen und auch die Medizin und speziell die Chirurgie zu ihren Urkraften zuriickzufinden beginnen. Das jedoch kann nicht von allein und nicht ohne den vollen Einsatz der Besten gelingen.
