In dieser Arbeit werden in Kapitel 2 die Grundlagen zum Thema Smart Home und digitalen Sprachassistenten geschaffen. Im Anschluss dazu wird ein theoretischer Rahmen für den Themenbereich des Innovationsmanagements gefasst. Folglich wird in Kapitel 3 die methodische Vorgehensweise und Analyse der erhobenen Daten erläutert. In Kapitel 4 folgt eine Darstellung der gewonnenen Ergebnisse mit einer dazu anknüpfenden Diskussion. Abschlie end erfolgt in Kapitel 5 die Darstellung des Fazits. Das Thema Smart Home hat nicht nur Relevanz in privaten Haushalten gewonnen, sondern besitzt au erdem einen Fokus von Seiten der Regierung in Bezug auf dessen Förderung. Digitale Sprachassistenten und die damit verbundene Sprachsteuerungstechnologie liefern dem Nutzer klare Vorteile bei der Bedienung und Nutzung von anderen vernetzten Geräten. Diese auf künstlicher Intelligenz basierten Assistenzsysteme besitzen das Potenzial, als zentrales Steuerungselement des Smart Home zu fungieren und die bisher bestehenden Kommunikationsbarrieren der Geräte verschiedener Hersteller untereinander aus dem Weg zu räumen. Forschungsansätze die eine Wirkung von digitalen Sprachassistenten auf Innovationsprozesse untersuchen gibt es derweil noch nicht. Das 21. Jahrhundert wird geprägt von Wissen, Information und Innovation. Die zunehmende Geschwindigkeit von Veränderungen, resultierend aus dem Globalisationsprozess, kann sich ebenfalls auf Veränderungen der Innovationsprozesse der Unternehmen auswirken. Es besteht in Bezug auf Innovationsprozesse eine Forschungslücke, auf dessen Untersuchung diese Thesis abzielt.
