Es gilt als allgemein anerkannt, dass während der perioperativen Behandlungsphase der Patienten ein deutlich erhöhtes Dekubitusrisiko besteht. Die bisher in den Funktionsbereichen angewandten Prophylaxema nahmen beschränken sich häufig auf die reduzierte Perspektive der mehr oder weniger konsequenten intraoperativen Druckentlastung ohne durchgängige Evaluation. Mit dem Erscheinen des Expertenstandards zur "Dekubitusprophylaxe in der Pflege" durch das Deutsche Netzwerk für Qualitätssicherung in der Pflege im Jahre 2000, steht der Praxis zu diesem Pflegeproblem eine wissenschaftliche Grundlage für das pflegerische Handeln zur Verfügung. Die Standardkriterien beziehen sich auf Bedingungen der stationären bzw. poststationären Pflege und der dort möglichen Pflegeinterventionen. Für eine Umsetzung in den Funktionsbereichen ergeben sich hinsichtlich der spezifischen perioperativen Bedingungen diverse Fragestellungen. Im Besondern ist hier die geforderte standardisierte Risikoeinschätzung hervorzuheben. Mit Hilfe einer Vorstudie zur quantitativen Erhebung von perioperativ entstandenen Hautschädigungen wird die Entscheidung für eine Projektierung zur Untersuchung des Expertenstandards im perioperativen Kontext dargestellt. Nach Abschluss der Projektplanung hinsichtlich Teilaufgaben, Ressourcen, Projektgruppenstruktur und-Ablauf, werden die Fragestellungen systematisch abgearbeitet. Die einleitende Situationsanalyse bearbeitet die speziellen perioperativen Risikofaktoren und die zur Anwendung kommenden Lagerungshilfsmittel. Dazu werden die als variabel eingestuften Risikofaktoren aus den standardisierten Einschätzungsskalen nach BRADEN, NORTON und WATERLOW auf deren perioperative Wirksamkeit hin überprüft.
