Es werden zunächst die Begrifflichkeiten "Integration" und "Inklusion" voneinander abgegrenzt und der historische Wandel von der Integration zur Inklusion vorgestellt. Anschlie end folgt die rechtliche Grundlage der Inklusion, die UN- Behindertenrechtskonvention, die die Basis des Index für Inklusion darstellt. Im dritten Kapitel wird der Index für Inklusion umfassend erläutert. Zunächst wird der theoretische Hintergrund dargelegt, bevor dann die praktischen Handlungskonzepte folgen. Kapitel 4 bietet einen Überblick über die Bedeutung des Inklusionsvorhabens für die frühpädagogische Praxis. Hier werden die Qualitätsanforderungen und Kritikpunkte erläutert. Das Resümee bildet den Abschluss dieser Ausarbeitung. Das deutsche Bildungssystem sieht vor, allen Kindern eine bestmögliche Entwicklungsumgebung zu bieten. Da das Fundament für eine erfolgreiche Entwicklung in den ersten Lebensjahren gesetzt wird, haben die Kindertageseinrichtungen eine gro e Verantwortung. Kinder brauchen Anregungen, um ihre Umwelt optimal erkunden zu können. Nur so können sie ihr gesamtes Potential entfalten. Besonders Kinder aus Migrationsfamilien oder in Armutslagen sind auf eine qualitativ hochwertige Bildung, Betreuung und Erziehung angewiesen. Hierzu gehört ein gemeinsames Lernen aller Kinder, ohne Aussonderungen. Kinder mit Behinderungen lernen gemeinsam mit Kindern ohne Behinderungen und Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund lernen gemeinsam mit Kindern, die aus Deutschland stammen. Diese Vielfalt muss als Chance genutzt werden und darf nicht als Bedrohung gesehen werden. Für die Fachkräfte bedeutet dies eine pädagogische Herausforderung und erhöhte Ansprüche an
