Neben dem beruflichen Fachwissen fordern Betriebe zunehmend auch andere, informell erlernte F�higkeiten wie Sozial- oder Kommunikationskompetenzen von den Mitarbeitern. Viele Menschen sind sich der F�higkeiten, die in ihnen schlummern, gar nicht bewusst. Mithilfe von so genannten Kompetenzfeststellungsverfahren werden ihnen Kompetenzen aufgezeigt, von denen sie oftmals nichts wussten. Auf dem Markt gibt es unz�hlige dieser Verfahren, sie sind f�r verschiedene Einsatzbereiche gedacht, so bieten viele eine Orientierung f�r den Berufseinstieg, andere Tests wie PISA hingegen ermitteln die Leistungen und F�higkeiten im schulischen Bereich. Da viel �ber Kompetenz geredet wird, jedoch vielerorts nicht immer deutlich wird, was der Begriff meint, werde ich im Folgenden erst einmal den Begriff "Kompetenz" n�her erl�utern, bevor ich die Komplexit�t der Kompetenzfeststellungsverfahren aufzeige. Letztlich werde ich dann den "ProfilPASS" als ein Beispiel eines Verfahrens zur Kompetenzfeststellung in seiner Entstehung und seinen Eigenarten sowie dem Nutzen f�r die Anwender n�her erl�utern.
