Uwe Goeritz, Jahrgang 1965, wuchs in Sachsen auf. Bereits in frühester Jugend begann er sich für die Geschichte seiner Heimat, besonders im Mittelalter, zu interessieren. Aus dieser Leidenschaft und nach intensiven Recherchen zum Leben im Mittelalter entstand mit "Der Gefolgsmann des Königs" sein erster historischer Roman, der die Geschichte des Volkes der Sachsen vor dem Hintergrund großer geschichtlicher Umwälzungen plastisch darstellt. Er verdeutlicht in seinen Geschichten die Zusammenhänge und stützt sich dabei auf historische Quellen und Forschungsergebnisse über das frühe Mittelalter. Er lebt heute mit seiner Frau in Leipzig.
