Mit einer beeindruckenden Erfolgsgeschichte, gekennzeichnet von drei Cup- und 16 Meistertiteln in der höchsten Schweizer Spielklasse, hat dieser Verein sich als eine der führenden Sportorganisationen des Landes etabliert. Doch wie so oft im Sport, ist die Geschichte des Erfolgs auch von Herausforderungen und Veränderungen geprägt. In jüngster Zeit sah sich der Klub mit einer Phase der Stagnation konfrontiert, die den Verein auf den zweitletzten Platz der Tabelle brachte und den Abstieg in die zweithöchste Liga nur knapp vermied. Angesichts dieser Entwicklungen reagierte der Verwaltungsrat des Clubs überraschend, indem er den ehemaligen Hockeyprofi Raeto Raffainer als Geschäftsführer einstellte. Diese Entscheidung wirft viele Fragen auf: Kann ein Sportler, der für seine au ergewöhnlichen Fähigkeiten auf dem Eis bekannt ist, eine gro e Sportorganisation erfolgreich leiten und den Glanz vergangener Tage wiederherstellen? Wie wird ein Sportverein strukturiert und geführt? Sind Einzelpersonen allein für den Erfolg verantwortlich? Um Antworten auf diese Fragen zu finden und einen Einblick in die Organisation des Schlittschuh Clubs Bern zu gewinnen, wird in dieser Arbeit eine umfassende Analyse der Organisationsstruktur des Vereins durchgeführt. Als theoretischer Rahmen dient dabei die Mintzberg-Struktur, die sich mit Fragen der Organisation und Führung auseinandersetzt und somit eine geeignete Grundlage für die Untersuchung bietet.
