Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Kinder und Jugend, Universität Augsburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der neueren Kindheitssoziologie gewinnt die Beschäftigung mit Kindern und Kindheit aufgrund von zahlreichen Gründen stark an Bedeutung. Durch beispielsweise Institutionalisierungs- und Individualisierungsprozesse steigt der Forschungsbedarf. Eine zentrale Fragestellung betrifft Veränderungen hinsichtlich Kindheit und Kindern, die auf den sozialen Wandel zurückzuführen sind. Angesichts neuer Erkenntnisse interessiert derzeit inwiefern "Kindheit", die Lebenslage von Kindern oder auch ihre Position in der generation¬alen Gesellschaft Veränderungen erfahren haben. Aktuell interessieren Themen wie: soziale Konstruktionsprozesse, die Funktion der Kindheit für die Gesellschaft oder die Bestimmung und Untersuchung des Wertewandels, insbesondere bezüglich der Auswirkungen auf das Kinderleben. Zu Beginn (Punkt 2) werden einleitend, um ein grobes soziologisches Grundwissen über Kind¬heit zu vermitteln, Definitionsmöglichkeiten, wie sie Soziologen formulieren, niedergeschrieben. Kindheitssoziologische Ansichten und Ansätze wurzeln in geschichtlichen Kindheits-Entwicklungen. Es muss auf Vergangenes zurückgeblickt werden, um den gegenwärtigen Blick auf Kindheit nachvollziehen zu können. Kindheit als Produkt existiert angesichts vergangener Entwicklungsprozesse. Deshalb wird in Punkt 3 zunächst eine Übersicht darüber gegeben, wie Kindheit entstand. Es soll deutlich werden, wie Kinder zu früherer Zeit bet-rachtet wurden und was sich bis heute geändert hat, bezüglich Lage, Lebens¬bedingungen, etc. Bis in die 80er Jahre wurden Kinder in der Soziologie unter dem Aspekt der Sozialisation betrachtet. Seitdem kam es, insbesondere durch den sozialen Wandel, vermehrt zu theoretisch-en Überlegungen. Die unterschiedlichen Ansätze werden im nächsten Inhaltspunkt (4.) beschrieben und erklärt.
