'Der totale Widerstand' wurde erstmals 1958 von einer Schweizer Armee-Unteroffiziersvereinigung veröffentlicht. Der Autor war der Schweizer Major Hans von Dach, und das Buch diente als Trainingshandbuch für die geheime Schweizer Resistenz-Einheit Projekt-26. Als es zum Verkauf freigegeben wurde, avancierte es sofort zu einem Klassiker des Genres. Leider wurde es bald von radikalen Terroristen in Europa und anderswo co-optiert - aber das ändert nichts an der unermesslichen Nutzlichkeit dieses Buches für den Fall, für den es geschrieben wurde: Widerstand bis zum letzten gegen eine einfallende Feindkräfte. Und genau dieser Szenario könnten wir uns in naher Zukunft konfrontiert sehen.


Das Buch ist ein Handbuch für Irregular Warfare gegen eine Besatzungskraft, gerichtet an Zivilisten und nicht an Soldaten. Es setzt voraus, dass es sich um einen Form von Unregelmä igem Widerstand handelt, der keine schwereren Waffen als leichte Infanterie-Waffen wie Gewehre, Handgranaten und Minen verwendet.


Themen werden behandelt wie:


* die operativen, taktischen, technischen und psychologischen Grundlagen des Guerillakrieges, wie Sabotage, Attentate und Verhalten unter Folter,

* die Errichtung, Organisation und Führung von Guerilla-Einheiten und Zivil-Resistenz-Bewegungen,

* Feindmethoden zur Unterdrückung und Bekämpfung des Guerillakrieges.


Zusammenfassend lehrt es den Leser die kritischen operativen, taktischen und technischen Grundlagen von kleinen Kriegen, Guerilla-Krieg und Zivil-Resistenz.
