In das Verst�ndnis des Schwertweges, entstanden aus der alten Kriegskunst und durch den Buddhismus nachhaltig beeinflusst, flie en hier moderne Erkenntnisse und Lebensverh�ltnisse ein. Es behandelt nicht nur die k�rperlichen Aspekte, sondern vor allem die Kultivierung des menschlichen Geistes, wie er einer modernen Zivilisation angemessen sein sollte. Dabei stehen wir in der Tradition vergangener Generationen, die sich anhand schriftlicher �berlieferungen gut nachvollziehen lassen. Die praktische �berlieferung findet jedoch seit Jahrhunderten von Herz zu Herz (Ishin-Denshin) zwischen Lehrer und Sch�ler statt. Dieses Streben auf dem Weg des Menschseins wird in den historischen Kontext gesetzt, um nachzuvollziehen, warum gerade der Weg des Schwertes sich f�r dieses Unterfangen so wunderbar eignet.

About The Author

Lechner, Gregor: - Gregor Lechner, Jahrgang 1965, begann im Alter von 17 Jahren seinen spirituellen Weg mit Kundalini Yoga. In Berlin begann er mit -dem Aikidō unter Gerhard Walter und begab sich bald darauf nach Japan in ein Zen-Kloster, in dem er ein lang Jahr blieb. Zur Ordination als buddhistischer Mönch reiste er nach Shrī Laŋkā, wo er die Originalschriften des Buddhismus las und in abgelegenen Wald-Klöstern lebte. Mit dem 30. Lebensjahr kehrte Gregor nach Deutschland zurück und nahm seine Übung in Aikidō und Iaidō umgehend wieder auf, welche er bis heute durchgängig praktiziert. Gregor besuchte viele unterschiedliche Lehrer bei denen er sein Spektrum ergänzte und erweiterte. Seine Herangehensweise an diese Künste ist stark von der "Initiatischen Körperarbeit" von Karlfried Graf von Dürkheim und vom Buddhismus beeinflusst. Zwischenzeitlich absolvierte er nicht nur eine Fortbildung zum Trauma-Begleiter, sondern übersetzte auch zwei Bücher von William de Lange über einflussreiche, historische Schwertlegenden. Er unterrichtet ununterbrochen bis heute im Aik---------idō Dōjō Freiburg und in seiner eigenen Schule.
