My book begins with a brief history and description of Feng Shui principles. My process begins with an emphasis on the individual, getting to you, your motivation, goals and dreams during what I term, "The Feng Shui Conversation." "The Feng Shui Consultation" follows with the actual viewing of property, home, and spaces where I share my observations and suggestions. Lined spaces are provided for the reader to record their intentions, and apply "cures and remedies" as their new placements in alignment with their goals, now made with greater clarity and intention. This simple format allows the client to embrace their environment from the macro to the micro point of view, going deeper within as they go deeper into their most personal spaces of the home. Home becomes the metaphor for the changes you wish to create in your life. My book follows the contemporary school of Feng Shui, also known as Tibetan Tantric Buddhism Black Sect Feng Shui proposed by Master Professor Lin Yun. He used a tool known as the Bagua template, also known as The Nine Life Aspirations - Health, Wealth, Fame, Relationships, Creative Expression, Helpful People and Travel, Career, and Spirituality. Lin Yun positioned this tool over the entrance of home and rooms, where the universal energy enters, also known as "the mouth of chi," rather than use directionality as the guide. Lurrae Lupone received her BA at American University, Washington, DC, and her MEd at Northeastern University, Boston, MA in Counseling and Guidance. Her professional career began as an elementary school teacher. She then provided individual and group counseling in social service agencies in Boston and New York City. Lurrae worked as a Realtor in NY and CT for twenty years. Lurrae also became a massage therapist specializing in the ancient massage of Thailand after attending the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in FL. However, the art and science of Feng Shui became her calling in 1995. Here she combined her education and gifts as a healer and intuitive, when introduced to the principles and spiritual work of Feng Shui. Her extensive Feng Shui studies began at the Institute for Bau-Biologie and Ecology in Clearwater, FL, followed by receiving a Consultant Certificate for Feng Shui Studies from the Metropolitan Institute in NY. She then attended the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd International Feng Shui Conferences in CA during the late 1990's. Lurrae continued her studies in Europe receiving additional Feng Shui Consultant Certifications. They included Feng Shui for Health and Vitality, and Business Feng Shui with Dr. Professor Jes T.Y. Lim of the QI-MAG International Feng Shui & Geobiology Institute in Heiden, Switzerland and Munich, Germany. She attended the World Feng Shui Congress in Innsbruck, Austria in 2000. Her studies and teachers also included Master Professor Lin Yun, Master Yap Jeng Hai, Lillian Too, Denise Lin, Karen Kingston, William Spear, and others. In 2014, Lurrae earned a Certificate in Positive Psychology, CiPP, from the WholeBeing Institute at Kripalu, Lenox, MA, taught by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar and Dr. Maria Sirois. Lurrae has published several articles that include: Feng Shui: Life as Metaphor; Feng Shui: Honoring the Sacredness of Space; and Feng Shui: Therapy for the New Millennium. Lurrae is a life coach using Feng Shui as her medium, and the home as the workshop for change. "Designing a Happier Life, Feng Shui with Lurrae" is her first book. It was recognized as a First Horizon Book Award FINALIST 2014 -an Eric Hoffer Award for excellence in independent publishing. Lurrae is a psychic medium receiving messages from the angels as part of her consultation menu of services. She has two sons, two grandchildren, and lives in Madison, CT and Sarasota, FL in the winter.
