About The Book

Escaping from a detention home isn't easy, and sometimes you just have to bear the consequences and stop fighting. That's not the choice this girl chose right away, and praying to God didn't change her circumstances. Coming from a broken and dysfunctional background her and her sister chose different roads to travel. Two girls, living in the same environment, had different attitudes and reactions to the perils of immature parents. The older girl was studious and submissive, while the younger was strong willed and impatient, bringing more discipline on her that made her more aggressive. Illness and death of loved ones, seems to make major changes in some people, especially children. As life goes on most people learn how to deal with adversities. Some are better and quicker than others. The girls spent weeks at a time with their wise and patient grandmother, who taught them to pray the Lord's Prayer. Having most her desires obtained after marriage, the youngest felt something was amiss. Finally, salvation came when there was no one or no where else to turn with her problem, and that was the beginning of a new life. Living in the country most of my life, my passions were all about animals, especially horses. I spent many hours drawing them, and all the other farm animals we collected over the years. I was thrilled to receive my own horse for my eighth-grade graduation as I spent summers on my grandparents' farm, in Dexter, Oregon. There is nothing more fun to me, then galloping my horse down a long trail, feeling the excitement and freedom it brings. I have compassion for feral cats as so many strays show up on our farm. I am rescuing and homing them, working with the humane society and local veterinarians', in spaying and neutering programs. It does my heart good to see all critters receive a home, where they experience love and comfortable places to eat and sleep. This will be an ongoing project, that blesses animals and animal lovers as well.
