Developing Costimulatory Molecules for Immunotherapy of Diseases highlights the novel concept of reverse costimulation and how it can be effectively exploited to develop immunotherapy using either humanized antibodies against CD80, CD86, and other costimulatory molecules or CD28 fusinogenic proteins in the treatment of diseases, including allergies, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, lupus nephritis, severe psoriasis, vulgaris tuberculosis, thopoid, transplantation therapeutic, cancer, and inflammation.

The text aims to provide the latest information on the complex roles and interactions within the CD28 and B7 costimulatory families, with the hope that targeting these families will yield new therapies for the treatment of inflammation, autoimmunity, transplantation, cancer, and other infectious diseases.

Mir, Manzoor Ahmad: - Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Mir holds a Master's Degree in Zoology from HNBG Central University and completed his Ph.D. in Immunology at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. His research focuses on Cancer Biology, Combination Therapy in Breast Cancer, and Tuberculosis Immunology. Dr. Mir has published over 50 high-impact research papers and book chapters, earning multiple awards and royalties. He has authored more than 15 books with international publishers like Elsevier and Springer-Nature. Dr. Mir serves on the editorial boards of prestigious journals and has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific conferences. He is a member of several scientific organizations, including the American Association of Cancer Research and the Royal British Society. He has received the TARE Fellowship and the SRFP-2019 from Indian science academies. Dr. Mir teaches Cancer Biology and Immunology at the University of Kashmir, where he heads the Department of Bioresources.
