Die Thematik Dialogisches Management scheint zunächst an Utopie zu grenzen und der Quadratur des Kreises sehr nahe zu kommen. In den letzten 15 Jahren haben sich allerdings Autoren aus verschiedensten Perspektiven zu Wort gemeldet und auf die Notwendigkeit dialogischer Mitgestaltung von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft hingewiesen. Eine Ursache für diesen Sinneswandel mag darin liegen, dass aufgrund der gestiegenen Komplexität des Alltages bisherige Orientierungsmuster immer weniger zu greifen scheinen. Organisationen und deren Management bestimmen nicht nur das wirtschaftliche, sondern eben auch das gesellschaftliche Leben stark mit. Sie müssen sich aber auch im Umkehrschluss zunehmend Fragen zur Legitimation eigener Entscheidungen und Handlungen stellen (lassen). Dieser Herausforderung lässt sich letztendlich nur mit Hilfe einer Dialogbereitschaft in Organisationen und der Organisationen mit der Au enwelt begegnen.

Der Autor: Jendrik Petersen, geboren 1959, Diplom-Pädagoge, Studium der Erziehungswissenschaften und Betriebspädagogik an der Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg und Erziehungswissenschaftlichen Hochschule Rheinland-Pfalz/Landau, 1994 Promotion, bis Juli 1994 Mitarbeiter, anschließend Wissenschaftlicher Assistent im Fachbereich Pädagogik an der Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, Forschungs- und Beratungsprojekte im Bereich der Qualifizierung von Mitarbeitern mehrerer Bildungsträger sowie der Ermöglichung und Gestaltung innovativer Managementprozesse in der Mineralölbranche und in der Fertigung. Anschließend Tätigkeit als Unternehmensberater in Frankfurt/Main. Lehrbeauftragter und Professurvertreter an der Bildungswissenschaftlichen Hochschule - Universität Flensburg. Seit 1997 Gesellschafter des Beratungsunternehmens «Projektgruppe wissenschaftliche Beratung». 2001 Habilitation im Fachbereich Pädagogik der Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, Berufung auf die Professur für Allgemeine Didaktik und Betriebspädagogik an der Universität Koblenz-Landau, Campus Landau.
