A miscellany of the author's writings culled from a variety of periodicals published by him over a period of 20 years. The subjects range from Belief Systems to The Third Age, via Cultural Bridges, Business Practices, Education and Learning, Health and Therapy, and Language and Communication. These are followed by a selection of parodies, verse and doggerel, as well as a number of spoof dialogues in the author's Dr Spot psychotherapy series.

In addition to being the author of 13 published books, ranging from history (transport and military) through personal growth and self-help, to one novel, Joseph Sinclair has also been involved in ediiting and publishing a variety of journals and periodicals. He spent 30 years in the shipping industry, of which 20 were spent travelling the world on behalf of the prestigious Sea Containers Group, including a five-year sojourn in Hong Kong. He speaks eight languages - four of them fluently. When he left Sea Containers on return from Hong Kong in the 1980s, in the midst of economic recession, he was asked to produce a book on their behalf for the World Bank in Washington DC, and then to edit their house journal. This was the jumping-off point for his subsequent career as a writer. Currently he is engaged in completing his second book of poetry under the title of Metaphors and Matzo Balls.
