Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Journalismus, Publizistik, Note: 1,3, Hochschule Bremen (Journalistik), Veranstaltung: Digitalisierung & Neue Medien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: J rgen Habermas, Vertreter der Frankfurter Schule, feierte das Web auf einer Dresdener Soziologentagung 2006 als Ort, an dem die "Wurzeln einer egalit ren ffentlichkeit von Autoren und Lesern reaktiviert" (St cker 2006, Internet) w rden. Sollte sich diese Euphorie bewahrheiten, hielte mit dem Web 2.0 wom glich der grunds tzliche Wandel Einzug, den Theodor W. Adorno und Max Horkheimer in ihrer "Dialektik der Aufkl rung" als einzig m glichen Umsturz der Kulturindustrie erachten. Gleichwohl u erte Habermas auch die Bef rchtung, "Online-Debatten k nnten zu einer Fragmentierung des Massenpublikums in eine Vielzahl themenspezifischer Teil ffentlichkeiten f hren" (ebd.). Welche Tendenz zeichnet sich heute, 2009, ab? Ich will mich der Frage widmen, ob Adornos Kulturindustrie-Theorie angesichts der - stellvertretend von J rgen Habermas ge u erten - Hoffnungen und ngste zum Web 2.0 besonders aktuell oder aber besonders berholt scheint. Adorno und Horkheimer haben ihre Kulturkritik unter den Eindr cken des deutschen Faschismus und der Massenmedien Radio, Fernsehen, Film (Kino), Print und Kunst entworfen. Die mediale und konomische Herrschaft letzterer war bis in die 90er-Jahre ungebrochen. Erst das Web 2.0 markiert einen Schnitt. Meine These lautet: Der user-generated content f hrt die Theorie und Kritik der Kulturindustrie ad absurdum, weil Adornos Warencharakterbegriff und seine Produzenten-Konsumenten-Definition f r das Web 2.0 nicht mehr zutreffend sind. Um diese These zu be- bzw. widerlegen, werde ich vor allem Weblogs analysieren. Blogs als zu untersuchende Kategorie erscheinen besonders geeignet, weil die Anzahl 1999, 2001 und 2004 sprunghaft angestiegen ist (vgl.
