Zum Zeitpunkt des Beginns dieser Arbeit im Jahre 1967 wurde die BUndel-ZugprUfung an Woll in der europaischen Textilindustrie kaum angewendet. Heute hat sich die Situation gegenUber frUher nur wenig geandert, wenn davon abgesehen wird, daB in einigen Kammgarnspinnereien die Qualitatskontrolle der Kammzugfarberei mit der BUndel-ZugprUfung erfolgt. Trotz der groBen Vorteile, den die ZugprUfung an Faserkollektiven gegenUber der an Einzel- fasern besitzt, und trotz der mannigfaltigen Anwendungsm6glich- keiten ist der groBe Durchbruch bisher ausgeblieben. Die Ursache dafUr liegt zur Hauptsache in der mangelnden interlaboratoriel- len Vergleichbarkeit der MeBwerte. Durch die bisher Ubliche ma- nuelle Probenvorbereitung werden verschiedene subjektive EinflUs- se in die PrUfung hineingetragen, die zu der mangelnden Uberein- stinunung der Ergebnisse fUhren. Obwohl diese Tatsache bereits frUh erkannt worden ist, sind nie Anstrengungen unternonunen wor- den, die Probenvorbereitung zu standardisieren. Der Versuch ist in dieser Arbeit unternonunen worden und hat zu der Entwicklung einer neuen Bundel-Vorbereitungsmaschine gefUhrt. Um dieses Problem anzugehen, ist es allerdings erforderlich, sich auch mit Einzelheiten zu beschaftigen, die auf den ersten Blick weniger wichtig erscheinen. Aufgrund der notwendigen groBen Zahl von Versuchsvarianten und PrUfmaterialien erschien es nicht zweckmaBig, gesonderte Abschnit- te fUr "VersuchsdurchfUhrung" und "Material" zu bringen. Wegen der besseren Ubersichtlichkeit werden vielmehr bei jeder Versuchs- serie die PrUfbedingungen und das verwendete Probenmaterial kurz angefUhrt. 1. Einleitunq Die Festigkeitseigenschaften von Fasern sind fUr die Qualitats- kontrolle bei der Verarbeitung und eben so fUr die Gebrauchseigen- schaften des Fertiqproduktes wichtig.
