Der Titel der neuen Sammlung lautet: "Mineralogie und Petrographie in Einzeldarstellungen". Damit sind nicht Zusammenfassungen vorhandener Arbeiten eines Sondergebietes beabsichtigt; die Sammlung hat also in keiner Weise den Charakter eines Referatenorgans. Es sollen vielmehr monographische Darstellungen der Spezialuntersuchungen eines Forschers unter ausfUhrlicher Wiedergabe der Beobachtungsbefunde der Offentlichkeit zuganglich gemacht werden. Der Rahmen fUr die aufzunehmenden Abhandlungen soIl dabei im Gesamt- bereich der Lehre von den Mineralien, Minerallagerstatten und Gesteinen so weit wie moglich gespannt sein. Die Reaktionsgefiige granitischer Gesteine stellen eine besondere Struktur- form dar, welche mit dem normalen Kornverband eines Granites keine Ahn- lichkeit besitzt. Daher wurden derartige Gefiigeformen- schon friihzeitig mit besonderen Namen belegt. Je geringer die Fortschritte in der Erkenntnis von der Entstehungsweise solcher Strukturen waren, desto zahlreicher hauften sich die neuen Bezeichnungsweisen, so daB fiir die Kennzeichnung generell iibereinstimmender Bildungen die Synonyma: granophyrisch, mikropegmatitisch, symplektitisch, epitaxisch, schriftgranitisch z. T. zur Verfiigung standen, denen sich noch der Ausdruck myrmekitisch zur Bezeichnung einer besonderen Verwachsungsart zugesellte. AIle derart gekennzeichneten Strukturen haben abweichende Entstehung gegeniiber dem Kornverband der normalen Korn- arten und lassen erkennen, daB ganz besondere genetische V organge bei ihrer Entstehung wirksam waren.
