Der Schwerpunkt dieses Heftes konzentriert sich daher auf diejenigen Gaserzeuger und Apparaturen, die ein fUr Motoren gut geeignetes Gas liefern; doch habe ich die Schwel- werke, Kokereien und auch die fUr Stadte und in Verbindung mit Gasmotoren immer wichtiger werdenden Faulgasanlagen dem Leser gleichsam im Vorbeigehen vorgestellt. Gar nicht a ber behandle ich hier die nach verschiedenen Verfahren mit meist sehr groJ3en Leistungen entwickelten Staubvergasungsanlagen, auch nicht Wassergas-Erzeuger, da diese in Verbindung mit Gasmotoren in Einzelanlagen nicht in Frage kommen. Wer sich nur kurz tiber diese oder jene Frage der Motorgas-Erzeuger unterrichten will, dem sollen dies die ofteren Seitenhinweise auf Stellen im Buch, wo die gleiche Sache von anderem Gesichtspunkt behandelt wird, erleichtern.
