Jahrhundert beobachten, wo Piraten und Sklavenhändler zwischen Imperien und Kontinenten hin- und hersegeln, Schriftsteller von einem Exil ins nächste fliehen, oder auch analphabetische Kleinkrämerinnen als Nachrichtenüberbringer zwischen den Welten fungieren. Ein faszinierender Ausgangspunkt für die Untersuchung der Bruchstellen kolonialer Systeme.
