Professor Dr. Dagmar Fischer, Diplom-Pharmazeutin und approbierte Apothekerin, diplomierte, promovierte und habilitierte an der Philipps-Universität Marburg. Sie absolvierte dabei mehrere Forschungsaufenthalte, u.a. am Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, TX, USA. Anschließend war sie mehrere Jahre als Leiterin der Präklinischen Forschung und Entwicklung in einem Pharmaunternehmen tätig. Seit 2008 ist sie Professorin für Pharmazeutische Technologie und Biopharmazie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Die Schwerpunkte ihrer Arbeiten liegen auf dem Gebiet innovativer nanopartikulärer Wirkstoffträgersysteme im Bereich Entzündung, Infektion und Alterung sowie der Entwicklung neuer Testsysteme nach dem 3R-Konzept als Ersatz- und Ergänzungsmethoden zu Tierversuchen für Nanosicherheitstestungen. Ihre Arbeiten wurden mit zahlreichen Preisen, u.a. dem renommierten PHOENIX Pharmazie Wissenschaftspreis ausgezeichnet. Dagmar Fischer ist in einer Vielzahl von Gremien und Vorständen aktiv. Sie ist die amtierende Präsidentin der Deutschen Pharmazeutischen Gesellschaft (DPhG).
Dr. Jörg Breitenbach studierte Chemie und promovierte an der Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität, Bonn. Als Stipendiat der finnischen Akademie der Wissenschaften arbeitete er in Finnland. Danach trat er in die Polymerforschung der BASF SE ein und schloss das Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie in Mannheim ab. Als Projektmanager wechselte er in die Knoll AG und wurde dann Leiter des Bereiches Drug Delivery in der Knoll AG. Anschließend leitete er den Geschäftsbereich SOLIQS, das Drug Delivery Geschäft der Abbott GmbH & Co KG. Bis 2019 war er verantwortlich für die globale Produktentwicklung einer Division im Konzern der Abbott Laboratories und Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der Abbott Laboratories GmbH. Jörg Breitenbach hat mehrere Unternehmen im Life Science Bereich gegründet, leitet heute ein start-up Unternehmen und berät internationale Unternehmungen im Life Science Bereich. Dersweiteren ist er als Lehrbeauftragter tätig.Seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten wurden u.a. durch die Berufung in das College of Fellows des American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) gewürdigt.
