Überwiegend wird in der Innenrevision eine Einrichtung gesehen, deren vornehmste Pflicht das Nachrechnen und die Durchführung formeller Abstimmungen in einzelnen Bereichen einer Unternehmung ist. Demgegenüber wird von mir die Auffassung vertreten, da die Innenrevision ihre Aufgaben im Interesse der Unternehmung nur dann erfüllt, wenn sie all e Bereiche durch materielle und formelle Prüfungen überwacht, wobei das N achrech.nen nur ein Teil ihrer Gesamtaufgabe ist. Zweck des vorliegenden Buches ist es, diese Auffassung im einzelnen zu erläutern. Meine mehrjährige Arbeit in der Innenrevision einer Gro unternehmung hat die Richtigkeit und Durchführbarkeit dieser Auffassung bestätigt. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn die Wiedergabe meiner Erfahrungen und Überlegungen die Diskussion über die Aufgaben der Innen- revision fördern und Anregungen für deren Aufbau, Ausbau oder Einsatz vermitteln könnte.
