About The Book

Das Hauptziel dieser Studie ist es, die Praxis von Lehrkr�ften und Sch�lern beim Einsatz von Kurzgeschichten zum Lehren und Lernen von Lesef�higkeiten zu untersuchen. Gegenstand der Studie waren Sch�ler und Lehrkr�fte der Atse Naod Secondary School. Sie wurden mittels einfacher Zufallsstichprobe ausgew�hlt. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass sich die Mehrheit der Sch�ler ihrer Rolle beim Einsatz von Kurzgeschichten bewusst war, ihnen jedoch das Bewusstsein f�r die Rolle ihrer Lehrkr�fte fehlte. Dar�ber hinaus unternahmen einige Sch�ler keine Anstrengungen, ihre Lesef�higkeiten in Englisch durch Kurzgeschichten zu verbessern. Die Studie deckte zudem einige Probleme auf, die die Sch�ler daran hindern, Kurzgeschichten zu nutzen: mangelnde Grundkenntnisse in Englisch, mangelndes Selbstvertrauen im Umgang mit Kurzgeschichten sowie sprachliche Schwierigkeiten. Angesichts dieser Ergebnisse wird empfohlen, Lehrer dazu anzuregen, Kurzgeschichten zur F�rderung der Lesef�higkeiten der Lernenden einzusetzen, indem sie alle Fertigkeiten integrieren und praktische �bungen in ihren Lehr- und Lernprozess einbeziehen. Dar�ber hinaus m�ssen die Schulgemeinschaften ausreichend Kurzgeschichtenb�cher bereitstellen und die Sch�ler dazu ermutigen, Kurzgeschichten zu lesen, um die Entwicklung der Lesef�higkeiten der Lernenden zu f�rdern.
