Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Geschichte Deutschlands - Nationalsozialismus, Zweiter Weltkrieg, Note: 2,0, FernUniversität Hagen (Lehrgebiet Neuere Deutsche und Europäische Geschichte), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der hier vorliegenden Magisterarbeit liegt der zentrale Fokus auf der durch die Machtergreifung der Nationalsozialisten 1938 in Österreich veränderten beruflichen Situation von Lehrerinnen und Lehrern, wobei die Arbeitsverhältnisse und Arbeitsbedingungen in ihrem Berufsfeld vor und nach der Machtübernahme beleuchtet und die strukturellen und personellen Veränderungen, die sich dadurch ergaben, beschrieben werden. Der Schwerpunkt der Betrachtungen liegt dabei auf der Situation im Gau Oberdonau. In den zwölf Jahren der nationalsozialistischen Herrschaft haben Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jahrgänge 1920 bis 1938 zumindest einen Teil ihrer Schullaufbahn absolviert. Erinnerungen von davon Betroffenen zeichnen auf alle Fälle ein sehr uneinheitliches Bild von Lehrerinnen und Lehrern sowie dem Schulsystem der damaligen Zeit. Au erdem ist durch die immens gesteigerten Polarisierungen innerhalb der Lehrerschaft in den 20er und 30er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts eine geschlossene Darstellung dieser Berufsgruppe besonders schwierig. Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit werden die bildungspolitischen Hintergründe und die dadurch entstandenen Organisationsstrukturen des Schulsystems nach der Machtübernahme Hitlers 1933 in Deutschland und der 1. Republik in Österreich betrachtet und Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede herausgearbeitet, die für die Beantwortung der Fragestellungen von Relevanz sind. Inwieweit Adolf Hitlers Vorstellung der Arbeit von Lehrerinnen und Lehrern in seinem Buch "Mein Kampf" und die Vorarbeit nationalsozialistischer Bildungstheoretiker ausschlaggebend waren für spätere Eingriffe und Veränderungen durch die nationalsozialistische Schulpolitik, soll ebenfalls am Beginn thematisiert werden.
