Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 1994 im Fachbereich Geschichte Deutschlands - Nachkriegszeit, Kalter Krieg, Note: 1,0, Freie Universität Berlin (Friedrich-Meinecke-Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Monographie ist die erste umfassende Darstellung der Geschichte der Vereinigung der Verfolgten des Naziregimes (VVN) in der Sowjetischen Besatzungszone und in Berlin 1945 bis 1948. Sie stützt sich auf umfangreiche Quellenauswertungen aus dem Zentralen Parteiarchiv der SED und aus dem Nachlass von Heinrich Grüber, Quellen, die meist erst nach 1989/90 zugänglich waren. Was war die VVN in Ostdeutschland: Tarnorganisation der Kommunisten oder Interessenverband der Verfolgten? Zuvorderst kann folgende knappe Einschätzung von Annette Leo in der Tendenz bestätigt werden: Während sich die Vereinigung 1947 "als Interessenvertretung aller Antifaschisten verstand", machte sie schon kurze Zeit später "in ihren offiziellen Verlautbarungen brav alle Wendungen der SED" mit. Die Arbeit stellt zunächst dem komplizierten Gründungsprozess der VVN dar. Sie entstand aus den halbstaatlichen Ausschüssen der Opfer des Faschismus und konstituierte sich erst 1947. Im zweiten Abschnitt werden Programm und Organisation der VVN dargestellt. Schlie lich wird der Wandel der Vereinigung in der Eskalationsphase des Kalten Krieges umfassend erörtert. Letztendlich arbeitete die VVN 1947 in erster Linie als Interessenverband der Verfolgten. Dabei müssen jedoch zwei Einschränkungen gemacht werden. Erstens vertrat die Organisation hauptsächlich die Interessen der Widerstandskämpfer, die Belange der "rassisch" Verfolgten blieben zweitrangig. Zweitens dominierten die kommunistischen Verfolgten in personeller und organisationspolitischer Hinsicht. Die VVN wies zwar Elemente einer überparteilichen Organisation wie kontroverse Diskussionen und Meinungspluralismus in der Verbandszeitschrift auf, aber sie war nicht in jeder Beziehung überparteilich. Dazu waren die Verbindungen zur SED von vornherein zu eng.
