Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Komparatistik, Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, Note: 5 (Skala 1 - 5), University of Oulu, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel ist, die Frauenbilder in der Literatur und der bildenden Kunst mehrerer Epochen festzuhalten, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf dem Fin de Siècle liegt. Es wird angenommen, dass diese Bilder in der faktualen Welt wurzeln und sich nicht unbedingt davon unterscheiden. Man stellt fest, dass es sich bei den Frauenbildern um Konstrukte handelt, die von den Männern auf die Frauen projiziert werden. Im Grunde erscheinen zwei Projektionen, daraus entsteht ein idealisiertes und ein pejoratives Frauenbild, eine 'Heilige' und eine 'Hure'. Auf C. G. Jungs kollektive Schattentheorie rekurrierend wird argumentiert, dass männliche Schattenanteile, also verdrängte Ich-Anteile des Mannes, die Frauenbilder hervorbringen. Die Frau wird gemacht und sie bildet den kollektiven Schatten einer androzentrischen, patristischen Gesellschaft. Neben dem Orten der Frauenbilder bestand eines der Hauptziele der Forschungsarbeit darin, die Entstehung dieser Bilder zu ergründen. Die Antwort liegt in der patristischen Gesellschaftsform, deren Frucht die Kunst ist, die solche Frauenkonstrukte hervorbringt. Sie wird von patristisch geprägten Menschen kreiert, die in der repressiven, lustfeindlichen Art des Patrismus erzogen wurden. Diese Art führt zu Angst und letztlich zur Ausbildung des persönlichen und des kollektiven Schattens, da Bedürfnisse verdrängt werden müssen. Die verdrängten Anteile gelten als Minderwertig, werden abgespalten und auf minderwertige Gesellschaftsanteile, z. B. auf Frauen, projiziert und u. a. in der Kunst verarbeitet, was in mehr oder weniger abstrakter Form auftritt. Der Patrismus bringt kranke Liebesbeziehungen hervor, zwischen Mann und Frau als auch zwischen Mutter und Kind. Dadurch entwickelt das Kind ein dichotomes Mutter- resp. Frauenbild.
