Januar 2007, fast vierhundert Jahre nach der Gr ndung der Fruchtbringenden Gesellschaft, lie en Vertreter mehrerer Sprachpflegevereine und B rger der Stadt K then/ Anhalt jene erste deutsche Sprachgesellschaft wiederaufleben. So fand an diesem Donnerstagabend die Gr ndungsveranstaltung der "Neuen Fruchtbringenden Gesellschaf zu K then/ Anhalt- Vereinigung zur Pflege der deutschen Sprache" statt. Der Oberb rgermeister begr te die Wiederbelebung, da die Bachstadt nun wieder auf dem gleichen Wege wie damals sei, sich "zu einem Zentrum der deutschen Sprache zu entwickeln .]" Diese Hausarbeit m chte einen berblick ber jene urspr nglich erste deutsche Sprachgesellschaft geben, die 1617 von F rst Ludwig I. von Anhalt- K then ins Leben gerufen wurde und in diesem Jahr ihre Renaissance erlebte. Im ersten Teilabschnitt meiner Arbeit werde ich zu Beginn auf die sprachliche Situation und den Status der deutschen Sprache im 17. Jahrhundert eingehen. Laut vielen Sprachwissenschaftlern liegt hier n mlich der Ausgangspunkt f r die Gr ndung vieler Sprachgesellschaften in Deutschland. Es gilt anzumerken, dass man unter dem Terminus Sprachgesellschaften ganz allgemein Zusammenschl sse, die sich mit Sprache besch ftigten, versteht. Wobei die Art und Intensit t ihrer Arbeit von ganz unterschiedlicher Qualit t und Quantit t sein konnte. Heutzutage verwendet man den Begriff Sprachgesellschaften in der wissenschaftlichen Forschung f r jene Verbindungen, die zu Zeiten des Barocks entstanden sind. Ich m chte darauf hinweisen, dass beispielsweise aber auch in der Romantik oder Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts hnliche Institutionen entstanden sind. Diese bezeichnet man heute blicherweise als "Einrichtungen zur Sprachpflege .]" Weitergehend gehe ich dann n her auf die erste deutsche Sprachgesellschaft, die Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft
