KNOWLEDGE IS EVERYTHING. Most commercial diets fail because they do not address all of the causes of being overweight and concentrate solely on not only reduced caloric intake but also reduced portions which can be frustrating and even lead to weight GAIN in the early stages of the dieting effort. This book covers all of the Big 43 Essential Nutrients and the foods with the highest nutrient densities by Percent Per Calorie to allow you to get proper nutrition while reducing your caloric intake. There is also a list of 180 "Net Negative Calorie" foods: foods that bring less than 30 calories per ounce. If all foods you eat during the day contain an average of 25 cal/oz, it would take 80 ounces - that's FIVE POUNDS - of food to reach 2,000 calories. The short list of 72 foods that bring less than 51 calories per cup can also help. If you ate one cup of each one in one day, all of that food would fill a FIVE GALLON PAINT BUCKET and total JUST 1,860 calories: there is no reason to STARVE while losing weight. Also included are lists totaling 110 foods, spices and medicinal herbs including recommended supplements of many of them that bring holistic properties that can help with weight loss including appetite suppressants, adaptogens (that balance hormone levels), diuretics, and even those that stimulate fat burning metabolism so there is no need to "go on a diet" only to GAIN weight in the early going either!
