Auch das Nutzungsinteresse dieser Generation gegenüber digitalen Tools auf Musikevents sowie die Auswahl dieser wird untersucht. Die auf Grundlage der Erkenntnisse formulierten Handlungsempfehlungen sollen Auskunft über den Einsatz und der Auswahl digitaler Tools auf Musikevents aus Sicht der Digital Natives geben, die sich an die Veranstalter richten. Die Forschungsfrage lautet deshalb: "Spielen digitale Tools für Digital Natives beim Besuch eines Musikevents eine Rolle, um ein positives Erlebnis zu generieren?" Aus ökonomischen Gründen und zur Erhaltung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit müssen sich Unternehmen den Änderungen und Erwartungen ihrer Umwelt anpassen. Dazu gehört auch der digitale Wandel in der Eventbranche. Um ein Event zu planen und zu gestalten, müssen Eventplaner die Ansprüche ihrer Teilnehmer: innen kennen und somit auch die geforderten digitalen Ma nahmen. Der Anteil der Teilnehmer: innen, die mit der Technologie aufgewachsen sind - die Digital Natives - wird in Zukunft weiterwachsen. Dementsprechend nimmt die Frage an Bedeutung zu, welche Ansprüche diese Altersgruppe an die Digitalisierung im Bereich der Veranstaltungsbranche hat.
