This book systematically explores China's digitalization and industrial transformation, analyzing the role of digital technology in this giant and ever-developing country. Its analysis covers China's policy frameworks, industrial applications, local practices, and global positioning to show the digital economy path of the world 2nd largest economy.

Across eight chapters, this book provides a comprehensive discussion of the rise and fundamentals of China's digital economy. Topics covered include digital technology clusters (AI, 5G, industrial internet) as driving forces; national top-level policies and supporting measures; digital applications in agriculture, manufacturing, and services; practical cases in Guizhou and smart cities like Beijing; China's global role via the TIMG Index and Belt and Road digital cooperation; global challenges and strategic opportunities; and conclusions on contributions, prospects, and policy suggestions. It integrates data, cases, and international comparisons to present a full picture of China's digital economy.

Scholars, policymakers, practitioners in the industry and people who are interested in digital economy will find this book of considerable value with the offered insights, policy references, and practical models for digital transformation and global digital cooperation.
