Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit zum Thema „Direktinvestitionen in Mexiko: eine kritische Betrachtung des Investitionsklimas" entstand im Anschluss an ein sechsmonatiges Praktikum im Zeitraum von März bis August 2003 bei Camexa., deutsch-mexikanischen Au enhandelskammer, in Mexiko Stadt. Vorrangiges Ziel der Arbeit ist die Analyse und Darstellung des Investitionsklimas in Mexiko, um somit interessierten Unternehmen eine Basis für eine Markteintrittsentscheidung in Mexiko zu schaffen und ihnen bei der Entscheidungsfindung zu helfen. Darüber hinaus soll sie für einen potentiellen Direktinvestor auch die Grundlage für die Durchführung einer eigenen Analyse des Investitionsklimas liefern. Die im Rahmen der Arbeit erzielten Ergebnisse sollen dem Investor als eine erste Orientierung für die Investitions- und Marketeintrittsentscheidung dienen. Detaillierte Informationen über branchenspezifische Marktstrukturen und produktbezogene Marktchancen können in dieser Arbeit nicht oder nur ansatzweise gegeben werden, gleiches gilt für die im Falle eines Markteintritts zu berücksichtigenden rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen. Weiterführende Informationen zu diesen Aspekten können u. a. bei der deutsch-mexikanischen Au enhandelskammer und deren Organisationseinheiten oder der Delegation der Europäischen Kommission in Mexiko Stadt eingeholt werden. Die Arbeit stützt sich zum einen auf das Studium und die Auswertung der bereits vorhandenen Literatur zu der Thematik, zum anderen aber auch auf die vollkommen eigenständige Analyse und Bewertung von Daten- und Informationsmaterialien unterschiedlicher internationaler und nationaler Institutionen. Die Aktualität der länderbezogenen Daten und Informationen ist überwiegend durch die in elektronischer Form im Internet bereitgestellten Materialien von Regierungs- und Nichtregierungsorganisationen sowie durch die Ergebnisse durchgeführter Interviews gewährleistet.
