2018 -- 3rd Edition with refreshed resources! Please read this book and cry. Cry for all the sadness you've felt that has gone unnoticed. Cry for your brother or sister and what they have to go through. Cry for yourself and how you wish your life were different. Then dry your tears; decide to see that the glass is half full, rather than half empty. Decide to be happy. *** Two-Volume Edition *** From amputation to scoliosis, from at-birth challenges, disease or traumatic injury, share the real stories of young people's adjustment to life-change and living well through it all. Written by the educator-mom of three, two facing amputation and blindness, Ms. Ratto uses Elisabeth Kubler-Ross' classic stages of grief to create practical coping steps to wellness for the entire family. Includes tried-and-true tips on self development of the body, mind and heart for the person experiencing the disability, plus the family members' points-of-view. Excellent resource for all ages, meant to be read aloud. Inspiring progressive steps provided to lead your own life and create your own dreams. Also perfect for multiple kinds of professionals working inside the rehab and disabilities' fields.

Linda Lee Ratto, Ed.M. As a Master Educator from upstate New York, Linda thought she knew quite a lot about education, having been certified to teach preschool through high school, and as a Trainer of Trainers. Linda Ratto has authored fifteen books and an 11-book curriculum series with The New York Public Library/NYPL designating the two volumes included in disABILITY, 3rd Edition, on their "Best Books" Award list. disABILITY, 3rd Edition (in color and B&W), as well as, Where Dreams Come True 2nd Edition, and other books by Ms. Ratto are available via: Linda's AUTHOR'S PAGES Ratto has been a guest professor at universities, medical centers and governments, and has established multi-age learning programs across the USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and Europe.
