As one of the leading authorities on media literacy education in the United States, Professor Hobbs is the author of Media Literacy (Corwin, in press), Copyright Clarity: How Fair Use Supports Digital Learning (Corwin, 2010), Reading the Media: Media Literacy in High School English (Teachers College Press, 2007). She is co-author of Elements of Language (Holt, 2000), the first ELA textbook to integrate media literacy into Grades 6 - 12. Over 25 years, she has worked with numerous school districts and state departments of education to help school leaders integrate media literacy into K-12 education.
