"Dones Vigentes" es un estudio bíblico inductivo sobre el tema de los dones del Espíritu, especialmente los que son controversiales. De los 19 dones mencionados en el NT, cuatro o cinco tuvieron funciones específicas en la fundación de la iglesia, mientras los demás 15 dones se manifiestan en todas las iglesias evangélicas. Este libro es un intento de explicar las razones bíblicas para enfocar en los quince dones universales que resulta en la edificación de las iglesias, en vez de los dones sensacionales que eran señales de autenticación. El autor tiene 30 años de ministerios en Latinoamérica donde él ha visto muchos manifestaciones de milagros y sanidades, y, a la vez, muchas manifestaciones fingidas en las iglesias y entre las tribus de Amazonas. Sin embargo, el libro no intenta a analizar los acontecimientos de experiencias diversas. El enfoque del libro es la evidencia bíblica sobre los dones controversiales. El autor no intenta discutir con autores de diferentes opiniones, más bien, solamente extraer el sentido del texto bíblico. El motivo del libro es aclarar una posición con el fin de entender por que algunas iglesias son distintas. El autor no cree que todas los hermanos tienen que creer igualmente cada doctrina no esencial para la salvación. Cuando Pablo dijo que tenemos que tener "el mismo sentir" (Fil 2:3-4), no se refirió a doctrina., sino que cada uno tenga el mismo amor o prioridad de beneficiar a los demás hermanos en amor. Podemos tener diferentes opiniones de interpretaciones y todavía amarnos y aceptarnos en Cristo. Tenemos que ser sabios y discernir las verdades bíblicas como fueron escritos originalmente. Que este estudio nos hace mejor interpretes de la Palabra de Dios.

Sirvió durante 30 años en Latino América plantando Iglesias en 4 países, haciendo discípulos y enseñando en institutos Bíblicos y conferencias en todo Latinoamérica. Ha pasado 17 años enseñando en la Universidad de Liberty en Lynchburg, VA. como el Director de Misiones Globales y ahora, es Director Asociado de la Plantación de Iglesias en Cuba.
