In December of 2003, an Air Force C-5 Cargo plane carrying 96 passengers is hit by a surface-to-air missile outside of Balad, Iraq. Three months later, Major David Allan wakes from a coma to learn he was the only survivor of the event. With his wife Sherry at his side, he cannot help but notice that she seems to be ten years younger. Slowly David begins to realize that he has woken in the year 1991. Stumped for an explanation, he sees the 1990s unfolding just as he remembered them. Having just lived through the decade, he has great insight into the future he faces. He knows full well who will win the next twelve years of World Series, Super bowls, and even which investments could make him rich. Leveraging this knowledge, he opens a new account under an assumed name so that he may profit from this advanced knowledge. But Major Allan also remembers the darker events that are fast approaching. There is Hurricane Andrew in 1992, followed by the failed Somalian raid in 1993, and most horrifically; the day of the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. Finding himself at a moral crossroads, the Major faces the possibility of stopping the terrifying events that are due to unfold on that spring day in Oklahoma.

Scott Meehan was born in 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland, and began writing after retiring from the U.S. Army in 2005. During the Cold War, he was stationed in Berlin and spied for the Americans against the Russians. In 1991, he was an Intelligence officer during Desert Storm, stationed on the front lines with the Marines. From 2003-2007, Meehan served three tours to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning a Bronze Star for actions in Balad. He has written four other novels and teaches college in Florida.
