Dr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy is a biological oceanographer and has been working as a scientist with the ocean sciences group of the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India since 2011. He holds a Ph.D. degree in marine sciences from Berhampur University and D.Sc. degree in environmental sciences from the Nagoya University, Japan. His research interest includes phytoplankton productivity, bio-optics and biogeochemistry in the oceanic realms. He has more than 60 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He is the national representative for SCAR-SSG Life Sciences and CLIVAR/CliC/SCAR Southern Ocean Region Panel (SORP), and co-chair of Southern Ocean Indian Sector (SOIS)-regional working group of the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS). He is a life member of the Ocean Society of India (OSI).

Dr. ArvindSingh is a biogeochemist and has been working as a scientist with the Geosciences Division of Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Department of Space, Govt. of India since 2015. His research interest includes marine nitrogen cycle and the impact of ongoing global changes on the ocean biogeochemistry. He has more than 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He is an Editor at JGR-Oceans. He is also a steering committee member of SOLAS.
