"Eddie Richards' Alien Adventure" is a science-fiction comedy.A box containing dark energy, the key component to intergalactic travel, winds up in the front yard of UFO fanatic Eddie Richards. Eddie suspects that the box may be a cable television descrambler. A unit from a secret branch of the military and alien-human hybrids converge on Eddie's property seeking to recover the container of dark energy. He thinks that the competing entities are operatives from the cable company. Eddie is also oblivious to the fact that his girlfriend, Amy, is the last of her group of friends and co-workers to get married. Feeling like the odd girl out, Amy wants Eddie to make a commitment.Eddie's myopia is due to his belief that his father, an Air Force pilot, was abducted by aliens. Eddie has devoted his life to seeking extraterrestrial existence in the hope that one day he will find his father. Amy issues Eddie an ultimatum, "Her or the UFOs." As much as Eddie wants to choose Amy, he is like a moth drawn to a flame (the possibility of alien life), inevitably he chooses UFOs on the night that she gives him "one last chance."When the black helicopters and hybrids surround Eddie, Amy and his best friend, Ajax, they are rescued by an extraterrestrial and his Latina girl Friday in a flying VW Micro Bus. The alien reveals the significance of the box of dark energy. Eddie decides that the race of aliens who need the technology to return to their home planet deserve it more than the human race or the aliens responsible for the hybrids. They decide that the best place to exchange the box is at a "Star Trek" Convention. The secret military unit chases Eddie and his friends through Las Vegas. But, before Eddie and his friend can give the box to the rightful aliens, the soldiers capture them. In turn, they are all abducted by the Orions, the dominant species of extraterrestrial beings. During an attempt to escape from the Orions Amy is killed. Overwhelmed by the loss of the girl he has always loved, Eddie unleashes the power of the dark energy in the box. The result is the bending of the space-time continuum so much so that it snaps causing a resolution.
