Dr. M. Adithan, was Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research) at Chandigarh. He was also a faculty in the Mechanical Engineering Department and in the Curriculum Development Centre at IIT, Madras. He has been a visiting Professor at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, U.S.A. and at University of Technology, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Dr. Adithan has obtained B.E. (Hons) and M.Sc. Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, University of Madras, and Ph.D. from IIT, Madras. He has published many research papers in national and international journals and is author of several textbooks and other instructional materials. At VIT University, Vellore, he has established Academic Staff College and organized many new and innovative teacher training/faculty development programmes for engineering faculty.
