Die 5. Auflage berücksichtigt das seit der Vorauflage erschienene umfangreiche Schrifttum und vertieft weitere Einzelprobleme.

Thomas Vormbaum

Jahrgang 1943, studierte Rechtswissenschaft, Geschichtswissenschaft und Politikwissenschaft an den Universitäten Münster und Würzburg. 1975 Promotion zum Dr. jur. (bei Rudolf Gmür); 1979 Promotion zum Dr. phil. (bei Heinz Dollinger); 1985 Habilitation für die Fächer Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und neuere Rechtsgeschichte (bei Jürgen Welp). Gründer des Instituts für juristische Zeitgeschichte und bis 2011 Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und juristische Zeitgeschichte an der FernUniversität in Hagen. 2018 Dr. h.c. Universität Macerata/Italien. 2025 Verleihung des internationalen Strafrechtspreises "Silvia Sandano" in Rom.
