Der Mathematiker und theoretische Physiker Dr. Paul Kirchberger (1876 - 1945) zeichnete sich durch seine Erfahrung in der Informationsvermittlung als Professor an der Leibniz-Oberrealschule zu Charlottenburg aus. Er veröffentlichte zahlreiche gemeinverständliche Werke aus den Bereichen Mathematik, Astronomie und Physik einschließlich der Quantentheorie. Dabei stand er nicht nur in Verbindung mit renommierten Wissenschaftlern wie Arnold Sommerfeld, Moritz Schlick, Max von Laue oder David Hilbert, sondern war mit einigen von ihnen befreundet.
