No puede ser posible que los militares hayan descuartizado a tantos campesinos? No puede ser posible que los militares hayan violado y torturado a tantos inocentes, colgándolos de cadenas desde el techo, con sus manos atadas a la espalda y poniéndoles electricidad en los genitales? No puede ser posible que los militares orinaran dentro de la boca de los que agonizaban por culpa de sus torturas? No puede ser posible que las instituciones castrenses encubrieran a estos miserables asesinos? Acaso eso de verdad pasó en Ayacucho? No puede ser verdad tan semejante bestialidad de nuestros militares!

Estas dudas fueron claramente resueltas por la sentencia emitida por la Sala Penal Nacional, la realidad terminó superando ampliamente esos indignantes cuestionamientos, ya que luego de que se produjeron las exhumaciones, todos fuimos testigos del horror vivido en ese lugar de la sierra peruana, convertido, durante la década del 80 y de los 90, en un auténtico campo de exterminio dirigido por el Jefe Político Militar de la Zona con la venia de los gobiernos de turno.

La magnitud de estos crímenes de lesa manos de las fuerzas armadas se refleja en unas escalofriantes cifras, Ayacucho fue la región más impactada por el periodo del conflicto interno a nivel nacional, con más de 3782 desaparecidos, 11354 muertos; miembros del Ejército, ejecutaron extrajudicialmente a decenas de campesinos (as), crímenes que hasta el día de hoy aterrorizan a la población ayacuchana por el grado de crueldad y vesania con los que fueron perpetrados.
