En la noble ciudad extremeña de Jerez de los Caballeros nace en el S. XVI Luis María Monroy Villalobos, hijo segundón de una ilustre familia. Adalid, Jesús Sánchez: - JESÚS SÁNCHEZ ADALIZ (1962, Villanueva de la Serena, Badajoz) se licenció en Derecho por la Universidad de Extremadura y realizó los cursos de doctorado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ejerció de juez durante dos años, tras los cuales estudió Filosofía y Teología. Es licenciado en Derecho Canónico por la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. Ha recibido importantes galardones como escritor: Premio Fernando Lara 2007, Premio de Novela Histórica Alfonso X el Sabio 2012, Premio Troa Libros con valores 2014, Premio Abogados de Novela 2015, Premio Grada de Cultura (2011), Premio Internacional de Novela Histórica Ciudad de Zaragoza (2011), Premio Diálogo de Culturas (2013), Premio Hispanidad (2013) y en 2017 el prestigioso Premio Arcobaleno que otorga en Italia la «Bottega dell'Arte». Además, ha sido distinguido con la Medalla de Extremadura en 2009, el máximo galardón de la Comunidad, y es académico de número de la Real Academia de las Artes y las Letras de Extremadura, cuya biblioteca dirige. También es patrono de la prestigiosa Fundación Paradigma Córdoba, cuyo fin esencial es recordar los ejemplos positivos de convivencia entre las tres religiones abrahámicas: judía, cristiana y musulmana, que ocurrieron en Alándalus, buscando con ello los principios y fundamentos del ecumenismo y del diálogo, así como patrono de la Fundación Foro de Córdoba.
