Su poder político y económico se multiplicó, y se convirtió en un personaje público en temas de seguridad nacional. Sin embargo, cuando aparentemente ya estaba olvidado el caso de su hijo, Hugo Alberto da señales de vida.El Falso Caso Wallace, de Guadalupe Lizárraga, una investigación periodística que revela la corrupción del sistema de procuración de justicia en México y la crueldad de una madre para mantener la fabricación del secuestro y homicidio de su hijo.
