A partir de los tres ejes que fundamentan el suceso de esos clubes -la personalidad del entrenador, la creación de una identidad cultural en torno al equipo y la doctrina táctica pura-, fue posible trazar los lineamientos específicos del Método Klopp, caracterizado por la velocidad, la energía y la alta intensidad de los futbolistas que lo llevan a la práctica.

Este libro constituye un análisis detallado, profundo y específico del modo en que el alemán moldea a sus equipos, a través de los cuatro momentos en que divide el juego: fases y transiciones, defensivas y ofensivas. En ese desmenuzamiento didáctico, apoyado en una gran cantidad de imágenes, se pone de relieve el faro que ilumina con su centralidad el cosmos futbolístico del entrenador germano: el Gegenpressing, la puesta en escena de las transiciones ofensivas a partir de las pérdidas del balón, impuesta en el Dortmund y aceitada en el Liverpool como una táctica realmente efectiva, no tan impulsiva pero optimizada. Una idea particularmente eficaz que ayudó al fútbol de Klopp a consolidar su reciente supremacía sobre los conjuntos de Pep Guardiola.

Como síntesis de la vertiente puramente táctica del trabajo de Klopp, este libro resulta de indudable atractivo para los amantes del fútbol y de imprescindible y rigurosa lectura para entrenadores y estudiosos.
