Manuel Espín se licenció en Derecho, Ciencias de la In-formación, Ciencias Políticas y Sociología por la Com-plutense de Madrid, acabando el ciclo de doctora-do, impartiendo asignaturas y cursos en distintas universidades. Dentro del ámbito de la comuni-cación, ha escrito y dirigido más de trescientos capítu-los de series para la pequeña pantalla, además de aparecer como autor, responsable y presentador en distintos espacios y programas de TVE. Ha parti-cipado además en una decena de largometrajes, la mayoría presentados a festivales internaciona-les de primer nivel. En los últimos años ha venido publicando, tanto en el campo de la ficción como en el de la "no ficción" con títulos como Memo-rias de King Kong (2007), Historia secreta de los años 50: lo que no se pudo contar (2008), Legión Áurea (2009), Del Imperio al 600: his-torias inéditas de los años 60 (2010) y Mitos y malditos: al infierno en clase vip (2010). Actualmente trabaja en nuevos proyectos tanto dentro del libro como del audiovisual.
