Das Buch ist so angelegt, da es auch f�r ein Selbststudium geeignet ist. Zu diesem Zweck ist strikt darauf geachtet worden, da die einzelnen Begriffe bzw. Definitionen streng und folgerichtig nacheinander entwickelt werden. Die in diesem Zusammenhang erforderlichen Grundlagenkenntnisse wie z. B. die Berechnung galvanisch-induktiv gekoppelter Kreise, die nach den Erfahrungen der Autoren nicht generell bei Studenten nach dem Vorexamen zu erwarten sind, werden erl�utert oder zumindest noch einmal gestreift. Um die Verst�ndlichkeit weiter zu erh�hen, wurden die Modelle, von denen ausgegangen wird, zun�chst sehr einfach gehalten. F�r die analytische Formulierung werden nur die Kenntnisse der Mathematik ben�tigt, wie sie �blicherweise nach dem Grundstudium an einer Fach-oder wissenschaftlichen Hochschule vorliegen. Es werden die G�ltigkeitsbe- reiche dieser Modelle im Hinblick auf ihre Anwendung in der Praxis herausgearbeitet. So- fern die Idealisierungen f�r wichtige Bereiche der Praxis zu weitreichend sind, wird auf kompliziertere Modelle eingegangen. Um die mathematischen Anforderungen niedrig zu halten, wird jedoch bei diesen Modellen vielfach mit der physikalischen Plausibilit�t argu- mentiert. Dabei wird auch auf Feinheiten eingegangen, die f�r den bereitsim Berufsleben stehenden Ingenieur von Interesse sein d�rften.
