In Abständen von drei Jahren hat bisher die Fachgruppe Elektroakustik der NTG eine grö ere Tagung veranstaltet; die dritte- über die dieser Bericht jetzt vorliegt- fiel in das Jahr 1961 und wurde in Frankfurt a. M. beim Physikalischen Verein abgehalten, an dem Tage, an dem vor 100 Jahren Philipp Reis zum ersten Male vor der Öffentlichkeit Luftschall auf elektrischem Wege mittels eines besonderen Apparates, den er Telephon nannte, übertragen hat. Der Frankfurter Physikalische Verein veranstaltete zusammen mit der Bundespost am 26. Oktober 1961 vormittags einen Festakt zum Gedenken an Philipp Reis, von dem der Experimentalvortrag von Herrn Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. E. h. E. Meyer, Göttingen, "100 Jahre Elektroakustik" in unseren Bericht aufgenommen worden ist. Leider konnten die sehr instruk- tiven Versuche des Vortrages hier nicht wiedergegeben werden. über die anderen Darbietungen auf diesem Festakt werden im Postarchiv und in den Berichten des Physikalischen Vereins Frankfurt Veröffentlichungen erscheinen. Die 12 wissenschaftlichen, bei der NTG-Tagung gehaltenen Vorträge erstrecken sich auf die verschiedenen Gebiete der modernen Elektroakustik. Sie sind zum grö ten Teil Original- arbeiten und 11 von ihnen als Nachdrucke der Zeitschrift "Frequenz" und einer als Nachdruck der "Nachrichtentechnischen Zeitschrift" im vorliegenden Band zusammengestellt, während der Festvortrag von E. Meyer nur in diesem Fachbericht veröffentlicht wird. Die "Frequenz" hat übrigens auch ein Sonderheft "100 Jahre Elektroakustik" herausgebracht, in dem die historische Entwicklung der einzelnen Zweige der Elektroakustik dargestellt ist.
