Der Bezirksverein Wurttemberg im Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker feiert die- ses Jahr sein hundertjahriges Bestehen. Wie bei solchen Anlassen ublich, faf5te man einige Zeit vorher den Entschluf5, eine Festschrift herauszubringen. Bei Redaktionsschluf5 darf ich feststellen, daf5 wesentlich mehr herausgekommen ist; siehe unten. Bei der Arbeit an einer Festschrift ergibt sich beilaufig ein wachsender Berg von "Humus", z. B. Kopien von alten Schriften und Notizen uber Gesprache mit langjahrigen Mitgliedern. Nur ein Bruchteil dieser Informationen kann in der Fest- schrift aufgenommen werden, und bald nach deren Erscheinen wird der Humus- berg aus Platzgrunden entsorgt, so daf5 z. B. 25 Jahre spater die oben geschil- derte Aktion wieder stattfinden kann - allerdings unter wesentlich verschlechter- ten Voraussetzungen! Die Festschrift selbst muf5 soviel aus der Vereinsgeschich- te bringen, daf5 Nichtmitglieder automatisch weniger Interesse haben, und sie sieht in unserer schnellebigen Zeit wegen der starken Hervorhebung des Jubilaumstermins schon nach wenigen Jahren "alt" aus. Der VDE-Bezirksverein Wurttemberg hat mir die Gesamtkonzeption dieses Buches anvertraut. Aus obigen Uberlegungen habe ich folgende Schlusse gezo- gen: - Der Bezirksverein braucht ein Archiv, in dem der wachsende "Humus" bewahrt und der Offentlichkeit zuganglich gemacht werden kann. Ich stelle dazu einen Raum meiner Firma TZKom GmbH in Stuttgart zur VerfLigung.
