Emerging Nanomaterials for Recovery of Toxic and Radioactive Metal Ions from Environmental Media covers nanomaterials used in the environmental remediation of sites contaminated by toxic or radioactive heavy metals. The book comprehensively covers the use of MOF-based nanomaterials, COF-based nanomaterials, MXene-based nanomaterials, nZVI-based nanomaterials and carbon-based nanomaterials in remediation techniques and details the main interaction mechanisms between toxic/radioactive metal ions and the described novel nanomaterials through kinetic analysis, thermodynamic analysis, spectroscopic techniques and theoretical calculations. It provides a thorough reference on the use of the described novel nanomaterials for academics, researchers and advanced postgraduates in the environmental sciences and environmental chemistry.

Wang, Xiangke: - Xiangke Wang is a professor in the School of Environment and Chemical Engineering at North China Electric Power University. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Lanzhou University (2000). Then he worked as a research fellow at the SUBATECH Laboratory (France) followed by Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the Karlsruhe Research Center (Germany). In 2003 he became a professor at the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences until 2013, when he became a professor of Radiological and Interdisciplinary Sciences, Soochow University. Since 2014 he has alo worked as a professor in the School of Environment and Chemical Engineering at North China Electric Power University. He focuses on the synthesis of nanomaterials and their applications in energy and environmental pollution management, and also characterization for radionuclide physicochemical behavior in the environment. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals.Xiangke Wang is a professor in the School of Environment and Chemical Engineering at North China Electric Power University.
