Emotionen spielten allerdings schon bei den Begründern der Soziologie eine Rolle, wenn auch, wie Dirk Baecker feststellt, es bisher nicht zu einer ausgearbeiteten, soziologischen Theorie der Emotionen gekommen sei (vgl. Baecker 2004). Ansätze finden sich bei Talcott Parssons und Georg Simmel. Aber auch Max Weber spricht in Bezug auf die 'Moderne' von einer Abstumpfung der Gefühlswelt was auch in Webers bekannter Metapher des "stahlharten Gehäuse(s)" deutlich wird (vgl. Weber 2010, S. 201). Eva Illouz sieht auch in Webers 'protestantischer Ethik' eine emotionssoziologische These formuliert, denn es seien die "Angstaffekte [...] die im Mittelpunkt rastloser unternehmerischer Tätigkeit stehen" (Illouz 2007b, S. 7). Neuere Ansätze liegen von Kemper, Gerhards, Schützeichel, Esser u.a vor. Die vorliegende Arbeit schlie t hauptsächlich an die Arbeiten von Eva Illouz und Sighard Neckel an. Mit Ulrich Bröckling soll au erdem einer Gouvernementalitäts-Perspektive auf Emotionen nachgegangen werden. Für Illouz ist der Kapitalismus seit Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts viel stärker durch Emotionalität geprägt als dies normalerweise angenommen wird. Daher spricht sie auch von einem emotionalen Kapitalismus. Diesen Annahmen werde ich in Kapitel 2.1 weiter nachgehen. Sighard Neckel geht es um die Inanspruchnahme von Emotionen für das Humankapital. Neckel untersucht dabei vor allem das Modell der 'Emotionalen Intelligenz', welches in der neueren Zeit in allen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen an Bedeutung gewonnen hat (Kapitel 2.2). Mir geht es d
